JOB TITLE:  Bartender
 

 

DEPARTMENT:  Recreation Centre
 

 

REPORTS TO:  Recreation Centre Coordinator

 

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

You will assume the role of attending to the Bar in the Lounge, which will include the responsibility of customer service, receiving payments, maintaining cleanliness and various other tasks, as assigned.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Adhere to Ontario Liquor License Laws and adhere to responsible liquor service guidelines;

  • Be familiar with all facility policies and enforce rules as relevant to the Lounge;

  • Be responsible for the safety of customers and follow emergency procedures;

  • Provide excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere;

  • Prepare and serve beverages;

  • Accept payments;

  • Restock supplies as needed;

  • Maintain cleanliness of bar and lounge area, including clearing tables, washing dishes, boxing empties, and other duties, as assigned

COMPETENCIES

  • Must be 18 years of age or older;

  • Must have Smart Serve Certification or be willing to obtain certification;

  • Must be friendly and courteous and be able to uphold a high level of customer service;

  • Must be able to work efficiently, be able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision;

  • Pleasant, flexible and cooperative;

  • Ensures confidentiality in all company dealings;

  • Experience in customer service and liquor service is an asset;

  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR an asset.
