Pool Rules

No person infected with a communicable disease or with open sores on their body shall enter the swimming pool.

No person shall bring glass containers, food, or drinks other than water into the pool area or changerooms.

No person shall pollute the water in the swimming pool in any manner, including spitting, spouting of water and blowing the nose in the pool.

No person shall engage in rowdy play in or about the swimming pool.

Each bather shall take a shower using warm water and soap and thoroughly rinse all soap before entering or re-entering the deck

Running is not permitted on the deck.

Profanity is not allowed in the deck area.

Outdoor shoes are not allowed on deck.

Only one person at a time is allowed on the diving board. One bounce only on the board.

During swimming lessons, students must stay out of the pool until their lesson is called.

Parents are expected to observe their child(ren) lesson from the viewing area, not the pool deck.

Persons caught defacing pool property will be dealt with severely.

Clean and appropriate swim attire must be worn. Denim material, underwear or boxer shorts, loose-fitting clothing, fitness apparel, thong bottoms, regular diapers, topless female suits, and street clothes are not permitted.

In the case of patrons, who for personal reasons cannot expose a part of their body, a modified version of swimwear is permissible as an alternative

Flotation devices are permitted for small children who are accompanied in the water at all times.

Smoking is not allowed in the swimming pool facility.

The sauna is available to persons 16 years and older, unless accompanied by an adult.

Water is not to be put on our Sauna unit, if caught doing so there will be severe consequences.

The Equipment on deck is there for your enjoyment, abuse of equipment will not be tolerated.

Only Staff members are permitted in the Equipment Room.

Entrance to the pool will be prohibited if under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Diving is permitted in the deep end only.

Children, once they reach age 5 years old, must use the same sex changeroom. If this is not possible, they may change in the upstairs washrooms and enter the pool via the Desk entrance.

The Rec Centre does not take responsibility for personal belonging left unattended in the changerooms; valuables should always be locked in a locker.

No toys, equipment, or patrons are allowed past the buoy line during Tarzan rope use.

Boats/Large flotation devices are strictly prohibited from crossing the buoy line at any time.

Patrons under the age of 19 must pass the facility swim test or pass swimmer level 3 in order to swim in the deep-end or use the Tarzan rope without a PFD/Belt or support from a guardian.
